Welcome!
My hope for our work together—whether in individual or couples therapy—is that you experience healing, peace, and renewed hope. I strive to create a nurturing, safe therapeutic environment where you can grow emotionally, relationally, intellectually, and spiritually. My approach is collaborative, empowering, and compassionate, and I aim to make our time together both meaningful and effective.
I have experience walking alongside clients through anxiety, trauma, relationship disconnects, toxic shame, and a longing to build a more grounded and connected sense of self. I’ve also facilitated support groups for grief and divorce recovery.
Having grown up in Germany, spent a year volunteering in India, and traveled extensively, I deeply value cultural diversity. I enjoy learning from my clients and appreciate the unique perspectives they bring. I especially enjoy working with those navigating cultural transitions, identity development, and cross-cultural relationship issues.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois. I work with adults (21+) and couples in a small private practice located in the western suburbs of Chicago, serving Oswego, Naperville, Aurora, and surrounding communities. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College Graduate School and am certified in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). I am also in the process of earning a certification in EMDR therapy.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy trying new restaurants with my husband, wrestling and exploring with my sons, and trying my hand at art.
I’d love to hear your story. Feel free to reach out—I look forward to connecting with you via Moni@PaxTherapyCo.com or 630.696.6872.
